Birthday Energy and New Beginnings

My move is finally complete, and I’m officially settled into my new home. It feels really good to say that out loud. The past few weeks have been a mix of chaos, boxes, and adjusting, but now that everything is in place, I’m starting to actually enjoy the space I’ve created.

The pets are doing amazing. They have so much more room to move around, explore, and just be comfortable, which honestly makes the whole transition feel even more worth it. Seeing them happy has made me feel more grounded here too.

My home is also officially filled with life in another way. I now have six beautiful plants, all pet-safe, thanks to an absolute gem of a man. For someone like me who is completely plant-illiterate, www.easyplant. com has been the perfect solution. They provide simple, clear instructions on care, placement, and sunlight, and even have an entire section dedicated to pet-safe options. It made something that felt intimidating actually feel doable, and now my space feels that much more alive because of it.

I also have to say thank you to Mr. F for my brand new mattress and bedding. I’m finally getting real, quality rest again, and it shows. He never ceases to put a smile on my face… and maybe a few other things too, but that part stays between us.

The cat tree is on the way (and I cannot wait). It’s a gorgeous hot pink-basically Barbie’s dream cat tree-and it even matches my couch. Pictures coming soon. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed toward it. I know it was a big ask, and I truly appreciate it more than you know.

I will say, one thing I didn’t realize I’d miss as much as I do is having easy access to a gym. It’s definitely high on my list right now, not just for fitness, but for routine and mental clarity. If anyone has gym recommendations in the Los Angeles area that they genuinely love, I’d really appreciate you sending them my way.

In the meantime, I’ve been easing back into my yoga practice at home. Having more space has made that feel really different, in a good way. It’s been a nice way to reconnect with myself after everything the move required.

I also had a birthday recently, and if I’m being honest, it didn’t go how I had planned. I ended up spending it alone after being cancelled on last minute for what were supposed to be some very special plans. It wasn’t ideal, but it was a reminder of something important.

This is exactly why I require deposits.

I don’t enjoy adding extra steps or making things feel more complicated when it comes to booking. I understand discretion, ease, and comfort matter. But last-minute cancellations have become far too common-even with people I’ve known for years-and it directly impacts my time and income.

Because of that, deposits are not something that will be going away.

That said, I do my best to accommodate different needs. If discretion is a concern or you prefer to use cash, there are ways we can navigate that together. I never want the process to feel discouraging. I just need it to be respected.

I’m still putting the finishing touches on my space and will be updating my Amazon list with a few remaining things I need. I’m currently organizing my dining area into my salon space, so I’ll be adding some storage and functional pieces to make that flow the way I want it to.

I’ll also be making my rounds around the greater Los Angeles area, including trips out to the San Fernando Valley, occasional visits to Orange County, and even San Diego here and there. Feel free to ask where I’ll be, I’m happy to share. I’ll also be updating my blog/newsletter with my locations for the month so you can plan ahead.

Thank you to everyone who’s been patient, supportive, and understanding during this transition. It hasn’t gone unnoticed.
