A little reflection, a lot of growth, and some exciting news from The Tonsorial Experience!
Hello, my lovelies!
Well, well, well… Look who finally decided to sit down and write a newsletter!
It’s been over a month since I’ve checked in with all of you, and let me tell you, there’s been quite a bit going on behind the scenes. Some wonderful things, some not-so-wonderful things, and a few things that have made me stop, reflect, and reevaluate.
So grab your coffee, cocktail, or whatever else makes you happy, because Mommy has some things to get off her chest!
EVEN BAD BITCHES HAVE BAD DAYS.
I’m going to get a little vulnerable with you for a moment.
After more than 25 years in this industry, I finally had an experience with a client that genuinely shook me.
And I mean REALLY shook me.
I’m not going to get into the specifics because that’s not what this is about, but I will tell you that for the first time in a very long time, I found myself questioning something I have always been incredibly confident about.
Am I actually good at what I do?
Can you believe that?!
Over two and a half decades of experience, countless wonderful connections, incredible memories, and people who have continued to come back to see me year after year… and ONE bad experience managed to make me question all of it.
For a little while, I wasn’t myself. I found myself feeling depressed, discouraged, and honestly wondering whether it was time to walk away from something I’ve dedicated so much of my life to.
But then something happened.
I started really reflecting on the situation. Not just what happened, but WHY it happened, what I could have done differently, and what was never mine to take responsibility for in the first place.
And you know what I realized?
I AM THAT BITCH.
Yes, I said it. And I’ll say it again for the people in the back!
ONE bad experience doesn’t erase 28 years of being damn good at what I do. And it sure as hell isn’t going to stop me now.
Looking back with a clearer mind, I can recognize that the real issues in this situation weren’t mine to own. That doesn’t mean there weren’t lessons for me to learn, though.
If anything, this experience reinforced something I already believed in: communication is EVERYTHING.
Being crystal clear about expectations, asking questions, speaking up when something doesn’t feel right, and never assuming that everyone is on the same page.
Even after all these years, I’m still learning. Still growing. Still finding ways to be better at what I do.
And I think that’s a pretty wonderful thing.
What I know for certain is that I LOVE this work. I love the connections, the creativity, the intimacy, the laughter, and the incredible people I’ve been fortunate enough to meet along the way.
I’m not going anywhere. Not anytime soon!
I’m certainly not going to let one experience take away something I love or keep me from all the wonderful experiences still waiting to happen.
So yes, Mommy is back. And she’s feeling pretty damn good about herself again.

One of the things I’ve wanted to do for YEARS is finally becoming a reality!
As many of you already know, professional grooming and spa treatments have always been part of The Tonsorial Experience. From precision haircuts and beard grooming to facials, manscaping, and body treatments, these services are certainly nothing new around here!
But until now, they were only available as part of my companionship or FBSM experiences.
Well, that’s officially changing!
Since settling into my beautiful new private space in Downtown Los Angeles, I’ve finally been able to create the perfect environment to offer these services individually.
That’s right, gentlemen! You can now book my professional Haircut & Spa Services completely on their own, without booking a companionship or FBSM experience.
Whether you’ve been curious about getting a haircut from me, want to experience my skincare expertise, or simply need a little professional pampering, you can now book exactly what you’re looking for.
For those who may not know, I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist for 18 years, working in high-end salons, specializing in precision cutting, barbering, and skincare. These are skills I’ve spent nearly two decades developing, and I’m incredibly proud of the work I do.
I’ve wanted to make these services available independently for a long time, but until recently, I simply didn’t have the space or flexibility to do it properly.
Now I do!
And I’m so excited to finally offer this side of The Tonsorial Experience to those who may have been interested in my professional services without necessarily wanting anything more.
No companionship booking required. No FBSM booking required. Just exceptional grooming, personalized attention, and a little well-deserved luxury.
Because sometimes a gentleman really does just want a fantastic haircut!

Precision Haircut > $150
A personalized precision cut tailored to your hair texture, style, and preferences.
Beard Grooming / Face Shave > $100
Detailed beard shaping, grooming, or a clean face shave to keep you looking sharp.
Exfoliating Body Scrub > $200
A refreshing full-body exfoliation designed to leave your skin feeling smooth, soft, and rejuvenated.
Signature Facial > $150
A customized skincare treatment focused on cleansing, refreshing, and giving your face some much-deserved attention.
Manscaping > $250
Professional grooming and maintenance with an emphasis on detail, comfort, and discretion.
Massage > $300
A relaxing, hands-on massage experience designed to help you unwind and enjoy a little time dedicated entirely to yourself.
A FEW IMPORTANT DETAILS
Availability: Most days, 9 AM -- 9 PM.
Location: My private studio in Downtown Los Angeles.
House Calls: Haircuts are also available at your location for an additional travel fee.
All other spa and grooming services are available exclusively at my private studio. I’ve invested in having everything I need right here, and quite frankly, I’d rather spend my time pampering you than packing up an entire spa and hauling it across Los Angeles!
Screening and deposits are required for all appointments, including à la carte services.
Same-day spa bookings will incur an additional fee, so I highly recommend scheduling in advance.
AND JUST SO WE’RE CRYSTAL CLEAR…
These services are exactly what they say they are.
A haircut is a haircut. A facial is a facial. A massage is a massage.
I’m happy to entertain certain wardrobe or outfit requests, but none of these à la carte services include a happy ending, sexual services, or anything beyond the treatment you’ve booked.

I want everyone to know exactly what they’re booking, what to expect, and what they’re receiving.

Before I wrap this up, I want to take a moment to acknowledge something truly wonderful that happened back in September.
I had the absolute pleasure of spending time with a couple who reminded me of everything I love about this work.
I’ve had experiences with couples here and there over the years, and they’ve always been fun, but these two?
OH. MY. GOODNESS.
I honestly don’t think I could have asked for a more enjoyable experience.
They knew exactly what they wanted, communicated beautifully, were incredibly respectful, kind, thoughtful, and just ridiculously fun to be around.
Everything flowed so naturally, and I left that experience with the biggest smile on my face.
It was one of those encounters that reminds you how magical genuine connection can be when everyone involved feels comfortable, respected, and free to enjoy themselves.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR THE TONSORIAL EXPERIENCE?
I’m genuinely so excited to see where this new chapter takes me.
Offering my grooming and spa services independently is something I’ve wanted to do for years, but between working in salons, maintaining my independent business, and simply navigating life, I never quite had the space or time to make it happen the way I wanted.
Until now.
And I’m not stopping here!
I’m already working on some exciting ideas for monthly memberships, subscription pricing, and discounted service packages for those of you who would like to make regular visits part of your self-care routine.
Because taking care of yourself shouldn’t have to be a once-in-a-blue-moon luxury.
Those details are still being worked out, so stay tuned!
For now, I’m simply thrilled to finally make my professional grooming and spa services available on their own and welcome you into this new side of my world.
ONE LAST THING…
If there’s one thing this past month has taught me, it’s that sometimes the experiences that shake our confidence the most are the ones that remind us who we really are.
I’ve spent more than 25 years building a life around connection, creativity, independence, and doing things on my own terms.
I’ve had setbacks. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve learned some lessons the hard way.
But I’ve also created a life and a career that I’m incredibly proud of.
And I’m not finished yet.
To everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, booked time with me, trusted me, laughed with me, or simply followed along on this wild little journey of mine, thank you.
You are the reason I continue to love what I do.
